Aaron M. - 1981 280ZX - Evansville, IN

Here are some PICS of my 81 280zx 2+2. At this point I had been working on it for about 4 years. I think I'm finely finished with it. I purchased the car from my brother and he found it in a junk yard. I have never been introduced to the z car until he told me he had one in his garage I could buy to drive. He handed me the old Motorsport catalog with the blue ZX on the cover and told me this is what it could look like. I fell in love. I then got it running and drove it for about 3 months I couldn't believe the way it handled. I started purchasing parts and restoring it. My brothers and I own a custom sheet metal shop, so all of the metal parts were hand fabricated. Some were even banged out on an old oak tree stump we have in are shop. I then butt welded all parts using Tig welding method. I had a paint shop paint her but I think the next car I will paint my self.
